Join us for our April poetry open mic as we partner with the California Lawyers for Arts & welcome our very FIRST FEATURED Poet! Together we’ll be exploring the theme of the night, “Chains, Shackles, & Freedom”, and its wider implications.

At 7:00pm, The Comedy Party will present electrix stand-up performances from Bay Area comedians Jay Rich and Joe Hill.

Visual Art Exhibition

The festival will feature powerful a visual art showcase produced by Empowerment Avenue, highlighting works depicting involuntary servitude by currently incarcerated artists.

Digital Art

California Lawyers for the Arts through the support of Bay Area Creative Corps & San Francisco Foundation has commissioned a digital art showcase on incarceration and slavery with animations by Oji Elliott.

Bayview Urban Arts Festival Recap

Join us as we reflect on the memorable moments from the Bayview Urban Arts Festival. Last year's festival was a perfect blend of fun, information, and community engagement, all centered around abolishing involuntary servitude. Attendees were treated to a variety of vibrant art displays, music performances, comedy, thought-provoking discussions, and interactive workshops that shed light on this important topic. The festival succeeded in not only entertaining but also educating and empowering the community to take action against injustices.
